| - Update: Sorry "Stew K" and "G.M" Your postings are old. For example, Jeff has been living in Colorado for more than two years and has nothing to do with the upholstery business. Owner Todd, father Bob, and now partner Antonio of Upholstery Shop and Tops located at 7901 E. Pierce St in Scottsdale, Arizona, have met more than a dozen of my vehicular and home upholstery needs over the past 16 years I've known them. Time however, has radically diminished the quality of their service and attitude towards their customers. On 6-19 of this year, my 1991 Corvette convertible was left in their care to have the interior rebuilt, replaced, refurbished and reupholstered ( invoice #61944).. It was promised in 5 days. Nine days later, it was " ready" according to Bob, to be picked up. Amongst the litany of mistakes and sloppy fittings, was the short in the electrical system that went unnoticed, causing the vehicle e to surge, recover and surge again as I left the shop yesterday afternoon and drove the five miles to my home. Now, Tuesday afternoon, I am sitting and waiting for a tow truck to arrive at my home to pick up my Corvette to give Bob and Antonio a second chance. Save for the electrical short, the missing radio and the bag of parts unbeknownst to me, found in an unmarked grocery bag in the rear of my vehicle, is the presence of a "breaker bar" generally used to remove difficult, wheel, lug nuts. I have no idea why such a tool would be used anywhere near my show-winning Corvette. Quick to cash the $1k deposit check and even more so, the $1,900 left yesterday, there is something afoul these days with "Upholstery Shop and Tops." It is not going well at the moment.
