  • I was fairly shocked when I found out that the discount clothing chain Winners moved into the complex at Yonge and College. This is where the Carlu (http://www.yelp.ca/biz/the-carlu-toronto) is for crying out loud. Shouldn't it be just a wee bit classier? Apparently not. But as Winners stores go, this one is slightly more dolled up than most. Definitely cleaner than some others in the franchise it seems like it's trying to put on its best Hudson's Bay Company disguise (it doesn't work that well, really). That said, the selection is pretty good here. As a big footed guy, I've found shoes that fit. I've never been unimpressed with the selection of shirts and pants, and the other miscellany that they sell is decent enough. Definitely the winner of most of the Winners.
