This place is in need of a major makeover. Let's start with the lobby. When I walked in it smelled musty and looked dated. The friendly front clerk checked me in and I made my way to my room. While on the way I noticed the gardening was well manicured but the building itself is in need of repair. The stairs near the east elevator looked like they had dry rot or some sort of damage that made me nervous to use them. As I made it to the third floor I noticed the metal doors and hallways looked really cheap. I went into my room and the disappointment continued. The room smelled musty, was dated and felt kinda gross. I was stuck there because I had paid through Priceline. That night, I couldn't sleep due to the paper thin walls. I could hear EVERYTHING the guests around me were doing. The heater was so loud it scared the crap outta me every time it came on. I finally fell asleep and at 5am a car alarm outside of my window went off. After the second activation, I got up to see where it was coming from. It was at the base of my window. Five activations later, I called the front desk and begged them to find the owner to make it stop!! The next morning I went to the gym. The gym is largely lacking in weight equipment and/or machines and benches. The cardio equipment is sufficient. I ate at AJ's, which was TERRIBLE (do not eat here). The dining room was dated and the food was disgusting. I will say the manager worked very hard to please but he's got nothing to work with so and extra star is for him. The other star is for the cute little block the hotel is in. I am referring to the restaurants not associated with the hotel. The hotel itself gets zero stars. The area about a block away seemed shady too so don't wander too far.
The required resort fee is a joke. I would not recommend nor would I return.
