Ronald's Donuts is located in a strip mall in the area considered to be Chinatown. It is a rather simple shop with a counter displaying several rows of pastries and a casual seating area out front.
I overheard the lady informing another party that their vegan choices were located in the top two rows.
Cash only.
Unfortunately I was in the area shortly after I had just eaten. So the pastries I was buying was for the next day. Bad idea. At least for the twist. It was rather dry when we finally broke into it. But the apple turnover was pretty good - it was flaky and not overly sweet. The custard filling in the donut that reminded me of a Boston Cream was quite rich and tasty. My favorite, sweet tooth that I am, however, was the supersweet Apple Fritter. I think it's glaze covering protected the pastry within.
