  • It actually makes me a little sad to write a negative review. My husband and I used to LOVE this place. The service was always a little touch and go, but the servers were all kinds of awesome personality-wise, so no biggie. We just didn't go there when we were in a hurry, and who wants to hurry sushi? The food was amazing. I can't even tell you how often I craved their garlic ponzu sauce or their awesome kobe burger (yep, that's on the AYCE menu, along with a ton of other stuff), or the scarlet fever roll. They were so. good. But... no. No more. The last few times we've been there, the sushi quality has gone downhill--think a little chewy and not so fresh--and the rolls that we once loved aren't as consistent. At first, we thought it was a fluke. Since we really liked the food before, we tried again. And again. The last time we went was the worst yet. Most of the sushi was just meh. I didn't even recognize my favorite roll when it came out. And, one of our final orders--a plate of nigiri--had a hair on it. I'd like to think that the hair was a fluke, but it still grosses me out. And with that, we were done. At least for a good long while. So sad. They were once so crave-able.
