| - The one negative I have about the airport is that they don't allow outside taxis to pickup up from the airport. you have to take one of the airline limo taxis which of course are more expensive.
Otherwise, this airport has really stepped up it's game in recent years. It's a true international airport which flys to almost everywhere in the world, unlike alot of airports in canada.
the monorail comes often enough that it will get you to and from the terminals with relative ease and in a timely manner.
Theyve installed the Self Serve Customs machines which makes getting through customs for Canadian Citizens a breeze. I'm in and out of customs in less than 5 minutes. I can only imagine that makes it quicker for non-canadian citizens as well. For american's I've seen the nexus terminals there, so I'm sure it's easy for them to fly in and out quicker now.
Food options are fine in both terminals. Terminal 1 more so than terminal 3, but I've never had an issue with it.
Now, the thing that really makes it a 4 star airport is the free wifi. now, I'm from Toronto, and so I have a data package on my phone, and don't really need free wifi. but when I travel abroad, I hate that there isn't free wifi at airports. So when an airport does have free wifi, I really appreciate it, and I know frequent flyers do too.
