| - Ok, so my husband and I went t Scarpetta last night for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. I would give the restaurant 4.5 stars if I could, it was a very good experience. However two of the dishes we ordered were less than stellar, so that's why my rating went to a four.
I give the staff 5 stars, they were prompt and courteous and seated us at a fantastic table right next to the window so we could watch the Bellagio fountain.
We ordered four dishes and split them all. They helpfully divided the food onto 2 plates for every course - much appreciated. We started with the seared scallop, which was excellent. Then we had the tagliatelle with vegetables. The pasta was great but the veggie sauce was extremely salty, and I couldn't eat it. Then we had the pork chop - an amazing dish, a real winner. But we ordered the mixed mushrooms to go with that. And though they were fresh and nicely cooked, they were flavorless. It didn't seem like there was any seasoning on them at all, very disappointing. We split the orange soufflé for dessert, and that too was fantastic. So all in all it still was a great meal, and dining experience, and we would return to try again. The good dishes were outstanding, it's too bad the other two weren't up to par.
