  • fam wanted to see what the umami hype was about...eh...i'm not a burger person, so it was aiight to me...not worth 14 bones...fam thought it was better than avg, but dunno about GQ's "Burger of the Year"... THE VIBE | inside hipster SLS hotel...semi-loud, kool music...outdoor seating avail...sports bar w/ tv @ea booth... THE FOOD | pix to follow... - sunny side (aka truffle especiale): parmesan frico, fried egg, truffle thyme compound butter, truffled arugula | 14. - manly: house beer-cheddar, bacon lardons, smoked-salt onion strings, unami house ketchup, mustard spread | 12. - side of maple bacon fries: sweet potato fries, maple-braised bacon lardons, rosemary aleppo salt topped w/ chives | 6. ..actually really good! - umami (aka the original): parmesan frico, shiitake, roasted tomato, caramelized onions, umami house ketchup | 12. - side: sweet potato fries, signature sweet salt | 4. - greenbird: turkey patty, crushed avo, green cheese, butter lettuce, sprouts, green goddess | 12. - side: thin fries | 4. Draught Beers Flight (choose 4) | 14. - goose island 312 wheat ale - firestone walker union jack - brooklyn lager - new belgium fat tire Dessert... - salted caramel ice cream in between snickerdoodle cookies | 7. THE SERVICE | a super friendly guy sat us ...later found out his name is dave...prob a food runner... our waitress was aiight...didn't come around enuf...we had to stop dave sometimes to help when she was MIA...it wasn't hella slow during a friday lunch... lil bussing too...& that's alwaz annoying to me... IN CONCLUSION | overhyped...skip the $12-14 burgers... TOTAL | out the door for 4 during a late lunch: $120
