I love The Vig. The atmosphere is really laid back and I love the out door seating area. It has one set of string lights with large bulbs making its way through the trees. I like that they also have a handful of Trivial Pursuit cards at each table to help keep the table entertained while waiting for food or while kicking back a few drinks.. They also have misters so its never too hot outside.. however, if no one has been sitting at the table for a little, the table and chairs may be wet so watch where you sit!
I have been here twice so far and plan to continue to come back here often. The first time I was here I had the gauc and chip. The gauc is refreshing and light with a good flavor- definitely a good place to start with food here. I also had the vanilla braised short rib tacos. I felt like the meat was really sweet by itself. When eating it altogether in its taco form it was still a little on the sweet side but really good.
This last time I was here I ordered the nachos with carnitas and I was very happy with the dish that came out. The topping to chip ratio was amazing. I would even go far enough to say that there were more toppings than there were chips, which the little fat kid inside me LOVES. My bf got the triple sliders on the pretzel bun with a side of the fries. The fries are so good. They are very thinly cut but still manage to be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The burgers were good but nothing really to talk about other than they have a pretzel bun. My friend who was with us got the thai chili wings and that was delicious. The wings were not too spicy nor to sweet. It was a very good mix of both.
