Fun atmosphere, last place I'd go for food or drink.
Went in last night with friends. I got there a few minutes early and waited 15 minutes to get a drink at the bar. It's great that they fresh squeeze the juices but that leads to long service times, at least with flow last night. It doesn't help that one cash register was not in service and only one credit card machine. I saw the bartenders spending a lot of time waiting to do a transaction.
Next, take a look at their mason jar glasses - ALL of them are cloudy from not being properly cleaned. My drink tasted like the last person's drink. How do I know? Scotch does not taste like fruit juice. I paid $13 for that drink, before tip.
Later, I got another round and paid $9.75 for the same drink. Don't know why they would charge two different prices but that's a risk that occurs for restaurants using cash registers vs. point of sale machines.
Food - 30-40 minute wait time last night after ordering. I can't make heads or tails from this menu. Essentially, there's almost no side dishes. Lots of food served in jars. More gimmicks than substance.
The entrees are served in wicker baskets with liners. These are not food safe - the baskets will absorb food, grease, etc from being stacked on top of each other (like when we put them at the end of the table because apparently no one ever busses the dirty glasses or baskets from tables). When you carry your food out your hands could be in contact with bacteria that can't go away between uses due to the nature of wicker. They cannot be sanitized.
I like the free valet, the fun (un-airconditioned) place to socialize, the creative drink menu but I can't see going back here.
