  • Cantina 1511, I want to love you but I cannot today. As someone who lived in Texas for most his life and relocated to Charlotte by way of the northeast I was in great need of good Mexican. Sadly I never got the chance due to logistics. The food maybe good but I never got the opportunity to eat. Upon arrival at 6pm my party of 4 were told it was to be 30 min. Well that's acceptable. 45 min later we finally asked the status and the repose was 10 more min. Where's the apology? Well 10 minutes pasted and still not seated. In actually a party of 5 whom arrived approx. 15 min after our arrival was seated. So needless to say we walked. A restaurant makes money on turning tables and Mexican restaurants typically do a great job at this due to the nature of Mexican food. However, Cantina 1511 does not have logistics and management in place. I hope to give it another go as the Mexican food choices in Ballantyne is very limited with Cantina 1511 cornering the market. Know that my review is only to help as I want this place to succeed.
