When I first came out to San Diego Cox communications always gave me great service good speed and a decent price. It wasn't the fastest or the cheapest or even the most reliable but they have hard workers in their company. As much as I would like to give this company a great review I can not. Their service is inconsistent and they rope you into these outdated bundle deals and charge a ridiculous amount. I had gotten rid of them as a company for Internet and cable because of a deployment. I had returned my equipment to their stores and asked if there was anything else I needed to do. I was told no. Months down the road I find out that this company LOST MY EQUIPMENT and claims I never turned in the equipment and that the only proof I could show them was a paper recipet that you would get out of a cash register. Who keeps a recipet like that for a whole year?! I tried to work it out with the company I was informed that the price I would need to pay was 800 cash. 800 for a crappy modem, cable box, and a router? I've never heard of such expensive equipment anywhere. They sent my account to collections. This means war between Me and Cox. As a bit of pay back I got them removed as the primary source of cable and Internet at my complex. I replaced them with Webpass and started getting my neighbors, supervisors, and managers on board. Cox did not like this and try to bring special promotions to the complex of 300 mbps at around 60 dollars or so. Horrible if you could have offered that before why Wait till you get some competition that's far superior than your service. YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE COX!!! I will continue to spread how bad this company and how great Webpass is to every single person I know, every store I go into, and every coxs employee that tries to sell their crappy packages!
