  • Dr. Hugh Bassewitz has seen me for my back pain ever since everything else brought no relief. I've tried injections, physical therapy, accupuncture, massage, chiropractic. All brought temporary relief but it was time to talk surgery. The staff at Desert Orthopedic is incredibly kind and professional. Only a few times when I had a scheduled visit were they running behind and they were honest and forthcoming about when I would be seen. Their surgical center is right next door, in the same building, where I also had my discectomy done. I had a wonderful experience. I'm 4 days post surgery and although I'm still in quite a bit of pain, I'm recovering and happy with how things went. I have full faith in Dr. Bassewitz, his staff, and facility. Now let's hope for an extra speedy recovery!
