  • I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been to the Flamingo several times but had never actually been to their spa. From what I am reading in the reviews, it sounds like it was recently renovated. Either way, it's awesome. First, I looked to Yelp for guidance and decided to book a couples deep tissue massage for me and my bf. I requested that he get Peter, and I ended up getting Rose. Both therapists were great. My bf and I have been a bit sore since we got it done (about 3 days ago) but I think it's just because both of us needed the massage so bad. The pressure was crazy intense, but they will always go softer if you want them to. I spent a ton of money on that massage. With that being said, if I went back I would probably just spring the $10 to get access to the facilities. You get this amazing robe to walk around in. The lounge area has really comfy couches. They were some sort of pleather, which is great because there is nothing worse than sitting half naked on a couch made with material that had God knows what on it. Anyway, the hot tub was incredible (though it toally could have been hotter) and it was nice to alternate between that and the cold tub (kept around 75 degrees). The one downside is that the pools are kind of small and the signs say max occupancy is 4 people. They also have a steam sauna and a dry sauna. The showers have 4 heads which is nice if you want that rainfall feel (I have a complex about getting my face wet so I skipped that part and just used 2 of the shower heads). There are plenty of towels laid out everywhere and the spa attendants were great--asking if I needed water or if they could get me anything. It's clothing optional. About a year ago that would have freaked me out, but I totally went naked. After being at the Imperial Health Spa in Vegas, it just seems silly to put on a constricting suit when I'm trying to relax. This last stay at the Flamingo was less than stellar, but the experience at the spa more than made up for it. One suggestion for management--put a clock in the pool area. I was told that I needed to be sitting in the couches 5 minutes before my appointment so the therapist could come get me. In the meantime, I wanted to chill (or warm, as the case might have been) in the pools. I was in there, doing my thing, and suddenly realized I had no idea what time it was. You can't have your cell phone out and the closest clock was in the changing area, and I didn't want to have to hop out and towel off just to check the time. PLEASE PUT A CLOCK NEAR THE POOLS!
