Reserved a work dinner for here, and overall I would say I was pleasantly surprised.
Observations:
Pro-
1. Drinks were good and the wine menu although smaller had good selection
2. Our server was fantastic and she checked up on us often
3. The food was wonderful. The Bruchetta to start was very yummy, and I had the artichoke ravioli which was also fantastic.
4. One of our business guests had brought their one year old child, and the restaurant actually gave the baby a cute little bib that said "my first time at Francescas" I thought that was extremely sweet. Our guests were from Australia so it was the perfect American hospitality experience :)
Cons:
1. The host stand did not have their act together. The guy that took my reservation actually hung up on me and when I called back asked me, " oh i thought you were finished" like I was inconveniencing his day.....very odd.
2. when we arrived our table wasn't even set up yet and they didn't have the high chair on the reservation even though I had asked for it multiple times
3. The ambiance and the environment of the restaurant is a bit cold and too casual for the type of food they serve. The two didn't really match in my opinion.
4. The dessert was eh.....I would stay skip that part.
Over all I gave this place an average rating. They made our experience great in the end but there are other places I would explore in Madison before adding this one back to my rotation again.
