One of my favorite breweries in the Pittsburgh region. Low key, no frills vibe with damn good beer. It's a little off the heavily traveled regions of Lawrenceville but well worth the trip. My advice: bring your growler along because you'll definitely be taking some beer home.
Ambience:
Nothing fancy. Just high tables and chairs with a single bar. It's that unassuming feel that I like though; kind of like they are saying we put all the effort into the beer. I've seen people stroll up with friends or just bring a book and grab a seat. The only downside is they could use more space- sometimes getting a table for a group is tough.
Drinks:
Solid beers with interesting flavor profiles. The Ginga Wheat is my go to- a nice marriage of the kick of ginger with a light, somewhat sweet wheat beer. I recently had one of their nitro porters too which was delicious if you saved room for a heavy beer. The best thing is the prices: ranges from $4-6 for a 12 oz and around $15 for a 64 ounce growler. Very reasonably priced in my opinion.
Service:
Most of the times the bartenders are the owners. They give generous samples so make sure you try the beer before taking the plunge.
