I had a recall on 3 things for my Sonata and took it to the service department. I wasn't offered a shuttle service or an estimated time of completion, I had to ask. I was sitting outside right in front of the service station drop off and was never checked on...again, I had to ask how much longer.
There was a worker who was a compulsive spitter. It's hard to gross me out or offend me, but as I was sitting just outside the door, every time he came out of there building "SQUELCH, SPLAT" and then I sat there for 2 hours watching his bodily fluids cook on the pavement. It must have been 2 dozen times 3 feet away from me.
At CHECKOUT I was informed that that I had a nail in my tire and that Big O would patch it for free. Really? You couldn't have done it, or offered me to purchase a new tire while it was back there?? It was such an afterthought at the goodbye.
I realize recalls are likely an inconvenience to them as they are not making money off of them, but I could think of about 1,000 other things that I would rather do on my only day off than sit there for more than 2 hours looking at someone's spittle when Hyundai was at fault . Sorry to "bother" you with free service on your company's mishap. You know where you could have made money? Offer your customer a tire replacement instead of referring them elsewhere.
