While living just off Regent Street I was a frequent customer at Regent Street Liquor. Their beer selection is great and they have all around good prices. Their keg prices are about standard with the usual selection. They also have a wide selection of hard liquors as well as some wine. The hard liquor is a little expensive compared to some of the downtown stores. I met the owner once and he was a very friendly guy who supports WI micro brews. He has an eye for up and coming breweries in the state as well, so be sure to look for some of the signs on the display case for the new brew. The reason I give a lower rating is from past experience with some of the young clerks. One time I came in to find 3 people wasted hanging out at the counter. The cashier himself looked a little red in the face. As I was walking out one of the drunk guys knocked a tower of pint glasses over, shattering them all over the counter... Another time I was in the store with a friend and they tried to charge him $38 for a 12 pk of Sam Adams and a 6 pack of Red Stripe! When my friend asked about the price the guy still took like 5 minutes to figure out what it actually was. My same friend told me that that was the second time they had tried to wildly overcharge him. In conclusion, go to Regent if you are in the area but watch out for the staff!
