| - This is the place that the travel agency I go through books us at when we go to Montreal. It's not a bad hotel, I think it's ok. There's a few pros and cons about it. Good prices and great location with a few flaws, bottom line
Pros:
-Location is awesome, right off of Rue Sainte-Catherine, the main drag. Close to most places downtown, and the subway/Metro is across the street. Within decent walking distance of the malls, bars, and most strip clubs and night clubs that you would want to go to, or at least close enough for a cheap cab ride.
-Free Wi-Fi internet
-Clean and somewhat (3.5 stars) nice hotel to stay at for the price. Rooms are of decent size too, nothing special but serves the purpose.
-Has an indoor pool w/jacuzzi
-Right under the hotel is a small mall with some stores and a food court, pretty convenient for basic shopping and a quick bite to eat. Also connected to the Underground City so those harsh cold walks can be avoided during the frigid Montreal winters
Cons:
-Staff can be rude sometimes, especially if you don't parler français. Not always, but seems to be the case more than not the times I've been.
-Last time I stayed here, the elevators kept breaking down and the staff didn't seem too interested in helping out people who were getting stuck until the Fire Department had to be called.
-Extra charge for pillows? Really?
