| - Gordon Ramsay is a name that has branded itself as funky, unique and a good quality dining experience, and that is exactly what you will get at the Pub & Grill! Located conveniently at Caesars Palace, it opened about three years ago with now head chef Scott Commings from Hell's Kitchen!
When I first walked in, I was greeted by a friendly hostess and noticed the unique uniform that the staff wears. I love how they dress the part and really makes the dining experience even more unique. I came here on a Saturday for lunch where there was futbol (soccer) game showing so the
restaurant was live and packed! The ambiance felt so warm and welcoming and the décor inside the restaurant was modern and very classy. Of course, I didn't except anything less for a Gordon Ramsay restaurant inside Caesars Palace!
I ate here for lunch and picking my meal was hard when I wanted to try everything! Carrie and Sara were our waitress and they were so friendly and accommodating to me and my friend. They told us about the restaurant, a little bit of the background and many things about the menu. Just talking to them for the first few minutes, I knew they were knowledgeable and trustworthy of their suggestions.
First, the drinks! They have an array of beers, wines, and cocktails! They have a full bar and use fresh ingredients to make your drinks. I tried the very popular cocktail suggested by Carrie called "Goodbye Blue Sky" and I must say... best drink ever! It is so refreshing for a hot summer day. I believe it is a blueberry vodka drink with muddled fresh berries and a splash of sparkling wine! For an appetizer, I tried the calamari with bacon bits. Wow! It is out of the ordinary. The calamari was crunchy and packed with flavor, especially with the bacon added to it and they make their own tartar sauce! For my main course, I tried the chicken pesto sandwich with fries. The portions are huge! My sandwich came with a very thick and toasted sandwich packed with chicken and mouth-watering pesto! The fries were crunchy and simple to compliment all the flavors inside the sandwich! Lunch was delicious and I wish I had enough room for dessert. I have been hearing from word of mouth, yelp and the staff that the sticky toffee pudding is a must-try! I will definitely try it next time I dine!
Overall, the experience was amazing. Everything from food to service was impeccable. Carrie and Sara were amazing! I had mentioned that my friend and I were fans of Hell's Kitchen so Chef Scott came out and introduced himself! It was a very friendly and unexpected gesture that made my dining experience even better! I will definitely be back again!
