  • Donut review only. Stopped into Paulette's after work today to pick up donuts for dessert for a dinner party we were attending. Decided to get a box of six, one of each flavor that was available. Today's selection included Mojito, Pretzel Chocolate, Raspberry Balsamic, Rose & Berry, Mocha (I think, but couldn't really tell) & Cinnamon Sugar. The cake part of the donuts were super bland & dry. Sort of like a Tim Horton's old fashion donut, though with much less taste. Almost tasted stale. In terms of flavors, we all agreed that the Mojito was the best, though also agreed that we couldn't eat an entire Mojito donut because they were way too sweet. Pretzel & Chocolate was chalky and stale tasting, Raspberry Balsamic was decent though tasted mostly of raspberry than balsamic and could have been much less sweet. Mocha & Cinnamon Sugar were fine, but yet again super dry. And then came the Rose & Berry. It was inedible. Everyone took a small bite & left the rest in the box. Rose & donuts do not pair well. Service was prompt, restaurant is cute. Concept is fun but the execution totally fails. Can't wait to try Gloryhole Donuts in Parkdale.
