Yoga Hangout is a great place to conquer your fear of or inhibitions towards inversions. After just one class and some supported inversions in the form of hanging, I felt less compression on my spine and a really great stretch. I attended Essential Hang and it not only was a great stretch but good strength builder. The instructor did a great job of building a class that prepared us to "hang" by the end! Instruction was supportive to beginners, but be sure to listen carefully and come with an open mind to be able to understand the instructor.
The classes are done against a yoga wall with straps that support your body during the asanas. Not to be confused with aerial yoga, it is still a great approach to your normal yoga poses. One thing I didn't like was when the instructor had us press our third eye center against the yoga wall. The wall smelled really funny. That aside, instruction, class, the experience was great!
Park in the parking lot next to the McDonald's. Check in with the front desk. The practice studio is to the right of the front desk. You leave your shoes and bags on the benches just outside of the studio. No first class free, but drop-ins are affordable at $12.
