Pole junkies is one of 2 pole studios here in the city and honestly this is as good as it gets. I would tell anyone to come here. The staff is amazing they are all so friendly and everyone brings something different to your experience here.
I have been going to more and more pole practices and it good to do once you reach a certain level because if you can't get a move in class maybe someone else can see something you're missing or your instructor hasn't caught you doing yet.
As in yesterday I wanted to practice inverts in class and my instructor was like your hands are the wrong way... well no wonder I couldn't get my butt up there I wasn't using the proper form.
Anyway I started back in Feb in an intro class and now I'm in level 4 moving on to level 5. There are some moves I still haven't mastered as of yet but practice makes perfect and I highly recommend that once you reach level 3 you start going to open practices on Sat afternoons or Monday evenings. It's not required of course however if you don't own a pole (like me) or would feel more comfortable having a spotter it's worth it.
I don't always go now that I'm back in school and working I try and go when I have time even just to blow off steam. Sometimes I pick 1 move I'm struggling with and only focus on that move for an hour. But you get tired after awhile so I change it up if I'm feeling sluggish and I know that I don't have the energy to climb back up the pole.
The workshops are also a great thing to dabble in when you want a change of pace. I happen to really enjoy spin pole so when the workshops are offered I go to them cause you always learn something new or get to try something different. It's a lot harder to than a static (non-moving) pole would be. Try a weekend taster class I know you will love it!
