I'll cut to the chase. The execution of this event fell short and I was disappointed. Most of the attendees sat at tables and booths and a few of us were seated at the bar. I could tell that the bar staff couldn't care less about us as we had two free drink tickets (thank you yelp!) and were not considered to be paying customers. It took myself and my friends at least 10 min to be acknowledged and given our first drink. I noticed other yelpers having the same issue.
It was so loud that we couldn't here Rachel, the chef or other members of fl 2 speaking. I picked up on that we were each able to have two bites of all of the five different offerings for the night, which is fine! However, it would've been better if the staff came around to the tables to offer the food or if it all came preplated. When food ran out it took a really long time to be replaced. My friends and I had our first round of bites and were waiting for more to come out. We wanted to order a cocktail but the bar staff again seemed so annoyed we were there that we got fed up, left a tip and went to another restaurant to eat.
The food last night was absolutely delicious and the unorganized chaos of this event isn't deterring me from visiting during happy hour next week. I just hope it's a better experience. It'd be a shame for the amazing food and beautiful bar to go to waste.
