  • It took me 2 months to get in with Dr. Berbos. I get a call from the office 3 days before my appt and they wanted me to come in earlier. I have an afternoon appt that I requested for certain reasons. The gal told me that "ok, but you will have to wait up to 3 hrs because he has a full morning". I said my appt is at 3pm why a 3 hr wait. She said because he is a specialist. I told her I see plenty of specialist and never had that happen. I am not happy but shouldn't be surprised because I saw their optometrist last month and the way they herd people in and make them wait in a lobby between screenings is ridiculous. Never seen anything like this in my 60 yrs. I had this exact thing taken care of by a non BPDEC optometrist 4 yrs ago but they don't take my current insurance. They completed a eyelash skin tag removal and eval for chronic dry eye in a 45 minute appt that I only waited a couple minutes for. I didn't have to see 2 different doctors or have a consult then surgery appt. With BPCEC the exact thing was set up with Optometrist for 2 appts (both took 2 hours) and Ophthalmologist (warned of the 3 hr wait) and that is only for the consult. They are ripping off the insurance companies by stringing out appointments and loading the room FULL! I've never seen anything like it. I will be cancelling any further appts with BPDEC and unless you have hours to sit there go elsewhere. I have a very bad back, pain issues and anxiety. This kind of wait is very hard on me. I heard on lady talking and said the week before they were there 5 hrs. 2-5 hrs is UNACCEPTABLE!!!! Their disregard for patients time is horribly inconsiderate. If you work take the part/whole day off. You have be warned! I will never use them again and will be cancelling my upcoming appts.
