  • It's been many decades since I biked but I wanted to explore my new home area further than walking and taking more time and interaction than a car would allow -- and all while getting good exercise. A friend told me about e-bikes and Crazy Lenny's so I researched both and was duly and dually impressed. I initially tried the Pedego Interceptor 24" which felt and rode great, but the colors were a most unfortunate palette that did not even include black... I was then pointed to the Easy Motion Evo Street which was taller but still seemed manageable from my local test drive and was immediately available, so I bought it. I brought it back for an adjustment to the gears, and the service was attentive and quick. Unfortunately, I then found that when I rode it uphill, the torque sensors and I were not working well together so there was somewhat of a drag or resistance instead of an easy assist... and more disconcerting, when I had to stop suddenly or stop on a decline, my feet did not reach the ground sufficiently to balance -- yet, if I lowered the seat, it was too low for my knee comfort when pedaling. Alas, this particular e-bike was just not a good fit for me. (Obviously my bike issue mentions are not a reflection on Crazy Lenny's, but I am just sharing it in case it is helpful for others in the low 5' height range to be be aware of this important consideration). So, back to the Pedego Interceptor 24" -- white please! It was a bit of a wait but they delivered -- and on my first choice of a new color Pedego just added, the hunter green! So worth that wait! I am ecstatic! (Note the many exclamation marks ...and the massive restraint to hold back still more, lest I lose my membership in the undemonstrative club). Also, I, like so many others who come through the shop, had the added pleasure of a precious chat with Lenny who genuinely seems to enjoy making people happy and who has many a fascinating anecdote to share, despite so little time. He really has his finger on the pulse of a healthy and fun enhancement to biking and as someone who really needs it, I am most appreciative! I highly recommend Crazy Lenny's for the broad and deep inventory of e-bikes and especially for the great people working there who are very helpful, knowledgeable, educational, personable and patient: sales, service and Himself of course!
