  • My family and I always enjoy the Phoenix zoo. We are annual members since my kids are smaller and it is a good activity for them. While I have been to some zoos that are truly incredible like the San Diego zoo, this zoo is just fine. They have a good variety of animals and activities for the kids to do. Since it gets so hot here in the summer they have 2 splash pads for the kids to play in. This helps break up the heat for the kids and gives the adults a break. They recently got a new Rhino, Lulu, who is a lot more active than their old one. Our kids also enjoy going on the safari train right or seeing a 4D movie. They recently renovated their main eatery to include all indoor seating. This was pretty incredible since it is a life saver during the summer. The stingray bay does cost money to do but is worth it if you are visiting and have kids. Overall, I would recommend carving out a couple hours to check this place out.
