I haven't been to many fine dining places in my life, but Blossom has been hands down the best holistic eating experience for me. My first visit was a few years back after I had found some rare luck at a slot machine, and I opted for the whole Peking duck.
The ambience itself was great: intimate lighting without being too dark, clean and shiny surfaces, cool but not chilly temperatures, great view of the restaurant from any location. Service was modeled after the classical french restaurants in their golden age of haute cuisine.
I was expecting a plate of duck with the appropriate side dishes to come out, but what I got was much more impressive. A whole roasted duck with everything except the guts, feet and feathers was carted out on a huge trolley accompanied by 3 men. While I waited, they carved out the breast meat in front of me and assembled my "sandwiches" with the pancakes and spring onions. All I had to do was pick up the food and eat while they did all the work for me.
After the breast was gone, they carted it back in and chopped up the rest of the duck so I could eat the legs. Everything about the food was flawless - something I've never said in my life until that point and something I've never said since. Service was impeccable as well, and I decided that this was a place I would need to return to every time I went to Vegas.
