  • I live for good wings, so I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious these wings were! I was visiting Charlotte over Thanksgiving weekend, so I was able to stop by this place with some loved ones. I had never been to Whiskey River, so I didn't know what to expect. They have a pretty strict dress code. A lot of guys and girls were turned away at the door after the bar turned into a club. So make sure you dress appropriately before stopping by here. Since we got here after the kitchen closed, we didn't know if we would still be able to place an order. Fortunately, our waitress was kind enough to ask her manager if it would be okay for us to order, so we were able to order some wings. It was 3 of us, so we ordered 26 wings with fried pickles! Unfortunately, I had already eaten prior to coming here, so I didn't get the chance to truly indulge in the wings and pickles. I did have a few wings and they were cooked to perfection! Try the BBQ flavor if you get a chance. Once the dance floor opened up, the bar became super lively. Everyone was dancing and having a good time, just what I like to see when I go out. Oh and there is no cover charge! I would definitely check out this spot the next time I come to Charlotte. Only reason why I give this place 3 stars is because of the super strict dress code (it's a sports bar, why the need for super strict dress code?) and lack of diverse music. Other than that, this place was pretty legit!
