I have a Lexus IS that was making funny noises at the wheel whenever I made a turn. I took it to one mechanic and they suggested I replaced a part in the wheel that would cost about $750 including parts and labour. I admittedly know very little about cars, and was telling this to a friend, hoping to have a cheaper alternative to fix my car. He suggested I visit Aussie Auto to have it checked out and boy was I glad I did.
I made an appointment with Rick and took my car in. He was very quickly able to identify the issue and it was due to some rusting. He suggested I sand off the rust on the wheels which would take roughly an hour, less than $100. It only ended up taking 0.8 hours and he very honestly, only charged me for 0.8 hours of time. I haven't had an issue since.
I was very happy to get my car fix for less money, but what really impressed me most was how nice Rick was. He was very patient and had to explain the issue to me 3 times. He was just so pleasant to work with and not intimating at all!!. I also learn that he was a Lexus Master Mechanic for many years before he decided to start his own shop. Rick will now be my go to guy for issues with my car. He is in Mississauga, so a little far as I'm based out of Markham, but definitely worth the drive.
