| - When I first came to Gaucho, it was because the smells of meat caught my nose and I followed it.
My girlfriend and I came in and we were the only people there. So we were greeted with a loud "HELLO" from all of the staff. As soon as we told them that it was our first time, they took us through the menu and answered every question. The whole time, everyone was smiling, music was playing in the background, and there was one guy just dancing. The whole vibe made me happy and couldn't help but smile.
Gaucho does meat right. Steaks were juicy, tender, and seasoned perfectly. Seriously, other people should take note: good quality food, good technique, good flavors. I didn't care how messy the sandwiches were. I didn't care that it was wrapped up in paper and not served on a shovel/chalkboard/etc. What I got was honest, fantastic cooking. No fancy stuff to trick you into thinking something tastes good.
I've come back multiple times and each time has never disappointed. The have expanded recently and I haven't had a chance to go. However, the line going down the street speaks to how their passion for food has paid off.
