| - This is my third time here. The last two were about a 4 - fast service, courteous, and attentive. This last time was a 2 at best - but it was also a Saturday night after Christmas. I thought it was fair to average the score.
When we arrived there was a wait - about 7 people were waiting in the doorway. There was no one taking names. As more people came in, I asked if anyone was going to start taking names so they know who was there first and he replies "oh ok - good idea."
About 15 minutes later we sat down. I quickly ordered some appetizers as we were hungry. Fried egg rolls, fresh spring rolls and pot stickers. The spring rolls were pretty good but the egg rolls and pot stickers were just ok. The appetizers came out real fast. We got waters right away. I then ordered our dinner. We ordered two orders of pho (rare meat and rare meat and tripe) a grilled shrimp dish, salt and pepper squid and beef chow fun. The shrimp came out first. two skewers with 4 small pieces on it. The shrimp wasn't bad, just small. The meal came with soup which I believe is just the broth from their pho but for some reason, this broth was yummy and flavorful - and our two bowls of pho tasted as if they started to run out of broth and they added some hot water. Very disappointing. The squid was average. It wasn't greasy and it was well cooked, however the squid itself was chewy. The chow fun never came out even after I reminded them twice and after we were done with our meal I asked someone to cancel it. About two minutes later, another server came by and said they were really busy in the kitchen and my noodles will be another 10 minutes. sigh.
To be fair, the times before the pho was great. Rare steak was fresh and not chewy. Had the duck pho and that was really good. Lots of meat. Perfect seasoning.
Not sure if it was because they were busy, but be that the food quality and service went down drastically I hesitate about returning.
