| - Of the few remaining malls in the area, SouthPark is very nice. It's in a good location that is accessible for most of Northeast Ohio. We visited the Cinemark theater within to see Star Wars in 3-D and it was nice. It wasn't as good as the Cinemark theater in Valley View because they have awesome XD theaters with huge screens. Cinemark sets the standard for theater entertainment.
SouthPark has a good selection of stores including several large deparment stores such as JCPenney, Sears, Dillards, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom. I honestly don't know how some of these retailers stay in business, especially with the prices they charge. I guess a lot of people have no retirement plans.
Parking is a challenge, unless you wish to walk far. There is a lot of foot traffic in the mall, which is good. I'm sure there is security, but I never notice it. They have a family bathroom, which is good if you have young children. The food court offers a decent selection of fare. I wanted to try a sandwich, but the Great Bear Mountain Pie shop closed recently. So I settled for some asian food instead.
