Wanted to love this place and came in with high hopes, but was disappointed. The outdoor dining space is lovely and the service is really nice. But I didn't think much of the food. The cornbread, which we shared at the table, was weirdly bouncy, not the densely delicious Southern cornbread I was expecting. The fried chicken entree came highly recommended by my server, but I found it overfried and undersalted. It was very dark and intensely crunchy, but not delicious. And it arrived sitting in a wet pool of collard greens. The greens were tasty but the crispy chicken sitting and getting soggy in a pool of the liquor from the greens was weirdly unappetizing. Maybe the fryer was too busy with fish fry (which was good, from the tastes I got from others at my table). But I'm not really tempted to go back.
