Nice enough staff, although they are surely paranoid about under age drinking. All good though.
My wife and I went there to see some local bands as well as Wolves at the Gate and Red Jumpsuit. Wasn't the expecting the small venue as we had never been there but not a problem at first. Being a music lover and having a pretty tuned ear I was super disappointed in the sound. It would be easy to blame the sound guy in the back but really I think it's the fact that the place hasn't been updated since the stone ages. We couldn't hear the singers unless there was nothing else going on. It was the worst venue for a concert I've ever been to. Update, update, update. Taping signs with duct tape? Really? Growing up in the Bay Area I've been to my share of dives to see some pretty great bands, including Metallica, Zombie, Guns N Roses and a ton more and never have I experienced such poor sound quality. Really need to fix that if you are going to keep good or up and coming bands coming in.
Side note...Wolves at the Gate rocked! :)
