My wife and I took one of our best friends here for his birthday last weekend. Located in Caesar's Palace, I've tried but never been able to eat here before do to the insane wait times. Not a problem with reservations one month in advance - we were seated promptly. The restaurant is beautiful inside. The staff were friendly and the service was nearly perfect.
We split appetizers. The blue corn duck was very tasty. The tiger shrimp tamale was just ok. The rough cut tuna nachos was absolutely delicious. Nothing was that spicy despite frequent warnings from our server while ordering.
Our friend got the pork tenderloin and was happy. I had a bite of it and thought it was indeed excellent. I got the blue corn crusted halibut. Good sized portion, flaky and delicious. My wife's filet minion was to her liking.
We all enjoyed our drinks; sidecar for our friend, cucumber something for the wife and I went with the margarita. My only complaint was that the margarita came in a martini glass and the portion was too small - I had three with my meal. In no way did I feel as though I had drank three margaritas. Just saying...
For desert we split the banana cream cookie thing. Totally forgettable, we didn't eat half of it.
Bottom line: I'm glad we went and would be happy to eat here again. But, with all the other fine dining establishments available in Vegas, probably wont'.
