| - On April 5, we had a Lowes representative come give us an estimate on replacing 3 windows in our home. The estimate seemed a little high, but we were assured they were great windows and would help a lot with the heat from the sun. We committed to buy, and were told it would take a couple weeks for the Windows to come in, at which time they'd send the order to the company they use for installation. I received a call about a week later with an estimated date of delivery being April 26-three weeks after we bought. The 26th rolls around, and I get a call saying that the trim has been delayed by two days and will be in on the 28th. I asked if we could schedule installation then, since it had already been delayed two days, and they said they'd call and ask, but they usually needed to have all the parts in before scheduling. I received no call.
A week later, and I still haven't received a call, even though everything was in 5 days earlier. I call lowes around 4, on May 4th, and I'm told everyone in orders and installation is gone for the day. The manager assures me he'll expedite the order and someone will call me first thing in the morning.
By noon the next day, I haven't heard from anyone, and call. After a long time on hold while Brandy looks up the order, I'm told everything is in, and the installation company (who are they, and why can't the customer have this information to schedule directly??) left me a message, which was a lie. Brandy says she'll call them while I wait on hold, but they've all gone to lunch (??!!?!). She said she'd fax it all to them so they can call me to schedule. What a surprise, I never heard from them.
At this point, it's been a month since I ordered, and am so upset I didn't get other bids. I trusted lowes. Don't ever do that! If they can't install in the 13th-the only convenient day for me-I will demand a refund. There is no excuse for the unprofessional treatment I've been given, and I'm so sorry I trusted them! I'll update as to the outcome.
