  • This review is for Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards program. I recently booked a one way ticket from Omaha Nebraska to Phoenix Arizona using points. I needed to extend my stay, and I assumed it would cost a little extra. In addition to my 10,000 points, the new ticket was going to cost me $375. However, I discovered that if I cancelled the ticket, I could reclaim my frequent flyer points and rebook for couple of bucks LESS for the ticket. Hello Southwest.... What you told me is that your frequent flyer program is valueless, and that in fact, I have to pay extra for being a loyal customer and for using your Southwest credit card. I called the customer service department and the young lady I spoke to try to explain this away, but could not. Flyers beware! Will be closing my account and looking for a new favorite airline.
