Yogis and yoginis who enjoy practicing in bohemian, romantic spaces will be charmed by the Yoga Sanctuary's College location: this is a gorgeous space with high ceilings and the allure of an old ballroom. The downside? The changerooms are small and sparse, and the bathrooms require a little trip down the hall, out of the studio and into the building's public areas.
There are no gimmicks here: this isn't a fancy gym, it is simply a place to practice yoga and meditation in a great environment.
As for the classes, they are top notch. There's something for every level, and all the instructors (all the ones whose classes I've been to, at least) are friendly and knowledgeable. My favourite classes here are Zoe's Hatha Flow and Charlene's Honey Flow -- a yummy mix of restorative and dynamic asanas. Instructions are clear, teachers provide adjustments when needed, and the atmosphere is non-judgemental.
The Yoga Sanctuary is one of my favourite places to practice, and I always leave feeling wonderful both physically and mentally.
