I almost wanted to leave 3 stars but the food was good. I was by myself and sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and helpful with going over the menu. I decided to go with the strichetti special which was spinach infused bow tie. Started with a house salad which was fairly large and delicious.
Strichetti was served with a pork ragu that was delicious. No bread with dinner - what gives? Strichetti was great - you could tell it was fresh. Nice chunks of pork left me wanting more.
My gripe above that almost led me to leave 3 stars were the price of drinks. Food was a little pricey but not bad considering the quality. Drinks were overpriced and lacking quality. I started with an Italian beer that was blah and "ok" priced for about $10 - which is normal for Las Vegas. Where I was most disappointed was the wine I had with dinner. Not many choices by the glass. I was by myself so was not going to order a bottle. The red I had was not good - and the price I paid for the glass was more than the price of the bottle if you probably bought it somewhere else. I expect to have a nice glass or two win a good Italian meal. Would think Mario could do better here.
