  • I purchased a vacation home during the Vegas craze. So, when the home warranty ran out, I really did my research looking for the best home inspector in the city. I asked friends and family that lived in the area, I asked my real estate agent and her friends, I looked online and read their reviews... when Bill (W.G. Thomas) was done, I knew I hired THE BEST! He came to the house and first looked at the outside, then in. Nothing was left uncovered. He tested everything and answered all my questions to satisfaction. The house was brand new, so the builders fixed everything he pointed out. However, what I found most helpful was that he explained to us that the builders cut corners. Not to say that anything was not to code. They just utilize minimal or inferior materials to do the job. For example, on Bill's recommendation, we put in thicker insulation to save on a/c and heating throughout the year when the builder only put in the minimum code requirement. Anyhow, that wasn't it, but he goes through everything and gives you tips on how to rectify the situation, if it can be. He even came with his own supplies (internet linked laptop and printer) to provide for me my report instantaneously, once he completed his task. He even provided a secure online site for me to refer to for later use. He's friendly and flexible with his hours. He's willing to help you any way he can if you have trouble with the builders because he's got plent of stories to tell, himself. He's just all around awesome! Tell him that you were REFERRED BY SKY and he'll forward you the same courtesy.
