| - My seven year old wanted to go, and who am I to say no to science. Checked for prices online and found they had a buy one get one free entry. So 3 adults (one military) and 2 kids only came out to $28. The place wasn't busy at all. And things looked a bit "dusty". But I wouldn't fault the museum, maybe it just needs a boost of funding. I've got a thing for taxidermied animals, and there are plenty of them. Plus there is a whale exhibit with a shallow tank with small sharks, horseshoe crabs, and rays. They feed the animals three times a week, and they happened to do it Tuesday at 1430 while we were still there. Pretty neat. There's also dinosaurs! And the basement had early man, pre-homo sapien. Then there is a the fantastic Egypt exhibit with a replica of the King Tut tomb. All in all, I was thoroughly satisfied. Geared toward younger crowds so no information overload. Oh, they had a kid's area with snakes and lizards which were also being fed crickets when we went. And bonus - a carousel fish tank designed by the guys from Tanked! Free parking, right on Las Vegas Blvd. Free parking. Hint - afterward, walk through the park for a couple of minutes and the Mormon Fort is right there!
