  • On January 11, 2017, I ordered a tub and tub enclosure from Lowes on Nellis. I was told it was a special order and that it would take 2 weeks. I just got the last back wall of the enclosure yesterday - March 28th, a disturbing 11 weeks! The time of this delay has cost me 2 months missed rent ($1700) on the apartment unit that this tub was ordered for. Several days of hourly billed contractor time that my contractor was on the job site waiting for this tub. I had to pay much higher fees for some of the remodel costs due to the tub and walls not all being on site to do the work in the appropriate order for plumbing, tile, wall board, painting, etc. The cost of all this was well beyond the $1400 for the tub. On top of all that my time of constantly monitoring the process and ME having to call Lowes to find out why the tub was not there, why the tub was cracked, why the replacement tub had the drain on the wrong side, to tell them that the delivery driver from Lowes had cracked the wall, asking where was the replacement wall, why was it delayed in being delivered - etc, etc. etc. My time has value as well - and I have wasted so much time having to force Lowes to do their job. The simplest of questions took multiple phone calls from me getting the same answer that they would get me an answer and call me right back and usually I would end up having to call them back to find out what the answer was the next day. The frustration, time, and money spent has been unbelievable. I am currently now trying to be compensated for my losses and frankly Lowes should be thankful that 1. My tenant didn't take ME to court for non-delivery of the rental unit, as this would have dramatically increased my financial burden. And 2. That I am trying to be compensated by negotiating directly with them rather than going to court. I have tried to remain calm through this entire excruciating process of utter incompetence on behalf of Lowes and their supplier, Sterling - but my patience is wearing very thin. I hope that Lowes will understand the financial burden they have put me through along with the wasted time and energy just to get this tub and enclosure here in 11 weeks. They need to make this right.
