| - The worst. I have been going here for a couple years, only because its close and I've been in a rush to grab something.
Every. Single. Time. The register is a struggle. Usually 10 people deep in line, one register open. If there's no line, you think you score, but guess what...no cashier to ring you up. It's a consistent 10-15 minute wait to purchase an item.
Today was my last straw. I picked up two sets of cake boards. $6.99 and $13.99. Sign posted said all boards are 50% off. One cashier told the one who was ringing me up, "here, let her use the 40% off coupon." The one ringing me said, "No, these are already on sale, or I mean, one of these is already on sale." My total was over $22 so I knew the register hadn't taken off the sale. I thought she'd give me another total since sometimes their registers take a while to show the sale price. I just was rushing and trusted my receipt would show at least one item half
Off, as posted.
Got toy car and looked at receipt. No sale price. I wouldn't have minded if maybe I read the sign wrong, but the worker acknowledged that the items were on sale and didn't make a point I make sure. I own a business and when the price doesn't look right, I always make sure I'm not over charging. Not Michael's. Employees probably don't care at all. And that is fine. But it reflects on the business.
I'm not going to argue over $11 or go back and try to get an adjustment, because the truth is, it would probably take 30 minutes of
My time waiting in the store nuts just the principle of it all.
Will now be driving over to Hobby Lobby when I need something...even thought its 10 minutes out of my way, their checkout is always efficient and you can always find a worker, who is happy working there, to help.
