Opening in 1982 on reclaimed land from the old stone quarry, this land is now a beautiful luxury resort. The hotel architecture conveys a Mediterranean and Latin American style and the water fountains give it a nice South of the border touch.
The property boasts a desert style 18 hole championship golf course and over the years has hosted numerous professional and celebrity golf events.
There are plenty of on-premise food and beverage options. The property is most famous for its Different Pointe of View restaurant located at the top of the resort.
Well-maintained, this Hilton property has been nicely renovated and the rooms are spacious and in excellent condition. there are also a couple of things that are less favorable about this property; the fact that this hotel is comprised of many buildings makes it inconvenient to get to your friends rooms or others rooms if you're with your group. The other drawback to this hotel is the location. It's probably more desirable when visiting Arizona to stay in Scottsdale. Scottsdale boasts more food and beverage options in close proximity to the resort hotels.
Putting the total resort package into perspective, you will find this to be a luxurious and comfortable Arizona desert hotel, worthwhile for a vacation stay when the cold weather sets in up north.
Salute!
