| - One has to wonder where people's head are at in their reviews. I can only assume they cannot tell the difference between standard quality dishes and elite dishes.
I've eaten here many times and I tell everyone who visits Las Vegas that Tender is the 2nd best steakhouse in the city. I understand people are skeptical because it is after all in the Luxor who have about the worse places to eat on MLife properties after Excalibur. Do not let it being in the Luxor fool you.
I will start off with my waiter - the man, the myth, the DEWEY.
DEWEY knows the entire menu, wine list and can give you a history lesson on Tender menu history. He is like Dean Martin in charge of the roast, he is in charge at all times and commands the floor of Tender like a Field Marshall in battle.
I've pretty much had everything on the menu which sadly has been cut in half within the past year (HINT TO MANAGER, bring back a few more dishes). The best steakhouse in LV is Jean Georges at Aria. Tender is better than Stripsteak, Gordon Ramsey, Prime, Gallaghers etc, all places I like and eat at regularly.
Salads at Tender are all quite good. The sides are above average. They cook baked potatoes properly, their mushrooms are excellent, asparagus has a nice lemon twist to it and pretty much all sides are solid.
Steaks and game dishes are ELITE. Tender has one of the best fillets in the USA. The Center Cut is a touch better than the standard cut. Their Porterhouse and Prime Rib are also 8 to 9 out of 10 in taste/quality. Strangely though their bone-in cowboy style Rib-Eye can be a slight miss once in awhile. If you are eating there and want steak, start with the fillet and you will thank me.
Their desserts are all quite good. Ambience is laid back, no high roller snobs here.
Manager here is also ace. Cocktails are excellent to boot.
I will eat here again and again for a long time.
