Three stars primarily for the excellent service and good pub food. Beer selection is typical Irish pub options. Unfortunately - not a single local craft beer on the menu.
Service was good and staff appear to all have Irish accents - the real deal. We were a group of 10 on a Friday at 5pm and they found us a spot and kept everyone happy. The pub is typical Irish pub decor and fairly laid back atmosphere. The crowd was mixed - suits, students, and folks of all ages.
Beer selection included all the normal Irish pub choices and the big Canadian Brewers. This was huge disappointment for me as I love craft beers. In fairness... This is an Irish pub so hard for me to blame them for not having craft beers. I went with Smithwicks for the evening.
Food was good. We had a few starters - sweet potato fries, nachos and wings - all very good but a little in the salty side. My main was the lamb stew and I really enjoyed it.
If your not fussy about beer selection or crave an Irish brew and good pub food, PJ's is a good option.
