  • My bf and I went here after Wet n Wild so we were famished. It was my second visit here and he insisted this place is his close second favorite location for AYCE sushi in vegas. The last time we were both here was last year. It was around 4 so we just missed the lunch rush and were happy we didn't have to wait too long for seats plus salmon belly was on special, yummmm. What we liked: Miso soup: the bf said this was one of the best part of the meal, and it was the first thing he had. I'll take his word for it. Spider roll: wrapped in soy paper. Great texture and crunch from the crab which was perfectly fried and the filling was nice and balanced. Wasn't overly saucy either. Salmon belly: ordered it once and it wasn't a really good cut. Then ordered again later and it was perfect. Great big fatty slices of salmon belly that I made sure to savor. ---- The meh: Udon soup: bf ordered this as the ending to his meal. it was really just the noodles, broth and green onions, which was written in the menu but I kind of wish some veggies or meat was in there.. Super white tuna: I LOVE super white tuna but the one here was not succulent and melt-in-your mouth as I know it to be. There was no sauce whatsoever. Or maybe I missed it lol.. just okay. Yellowtail: very small cut of fish! But still managed to taste a little above average. Was better than the salmon we first got for sure.. ---- What we didn't like: Pork belly: great presentation and meat looked appetizing as in had great char and color. Sadly the flavor really was not there and both slices had large flab of fat right down the middle that was just too unedible. I love pork belly and fat but after eating one slice and forcing the fat down, I couldn't do with getting the other fat glob down. Sashimi salad: I did not know the crab mayo stuffing from a typical cali roll would be considered "crab meat" or sashimi for that matter. Yep, they layered this right atop the cubed sashimi pieces and there was a fairly good amount of it more than the actual sashimi. Still ate the whole thing cause had to.. Takoyaki: does not come dressed with sauce, mayo, aonori, green onions or furikake that should be on top. The two fried balls come with just the sauce on the side to dip. The inside was very mushy and had on or two tid bits of octopus. At least the outside was crunchy and there were some octopus inside.. mochi ice cream: we got red bean and strawberry. The menu only said they had vanilla and strawberry so I picked strawberry. Bf got red bean and I was like "they have red bean???". Table next to ours ordered a green tea one and again I was "???" But I stuck to my choice. They came out like flat disks lmao. And the mochi had some ice crystals and was not very elastic and chewy. As the ending to my meal, totally disappointed and would probably have gotten better mochi aisu from a grocery store but hey, it's ayce. --- Server was nice and checked up on us regularly. But service of food did take some time from time to time. Only once did the runner mistakenly bring one of our orders to the table next to ours but realized and brought it to us. They missed my one order of mackerel and I didn't bother to try to reorder it. And instead of getting the cucumber salad, they brought us seaweed salad which was still okay and we didn't bother to get it corrected either. Overall, we left kind of unsatisfied. The cuts of sushi were pretty small and thin compared to other earlier pics on yelp. Maybe it's hit or miss or based on the chef behind the counter? Quality wasn't that great either. Bf agreed it wasn't how he used to like it. I honestly don't think I will be back..
