Was in the area last Sunday but didn't realised this place was nearby and open already for a month! Duh! Not sure what rock I was living under. Had to go check it out tonite haha.
So happy there are more and more bakeries offering baked cheese tarts a la Asian style! (Love Me Sweet is coming out with theirs tomorrow). These Crispy Tart Shells with Gooey cheesy fluffy cheese inside are simply divine and foodorgasmic!
At first, I just wanted to have a few bites and take the rest home but as I soon realized while cutting through the tart, it will not be possible with all the liquidy cheese goozing non stop! Had to eat eat eat! The crispy tart was buttery and flakey. The tart accompanied with all the cheese was at its perfection. I don't remember the last time I ever tasted such a good and freshly baked tart skin.
The cheese was so liquidy that one can literally drink it right off the tart.
Service was very good and I like how they give samples of a few of their products before buying.
Bonus: everything is freshly made and there aren't any line ups!
At $8.75 plus tax and for the size u get, I think it is quite reasonable.
I also tried their Double Fromage Cheesecake. This interesting product is a new twist on cheesecake. Double Fromage Cheesecake, their special limited product, is a combination of baked cheesecake and frozen cheesecake.
How did it taste? I didn't think I could like it but it was so good!!!! This is like ice cream and cake together but instead it's Japanese Cheesecake with the "cool" factor! I think it's genius whomever came up with this idea to combine both items.
At $18.75 (plus tax) and at 4 inch size, it's not your everyday splurge. Also, the cake has to remain frozen (may need a cooler if take out). It's a very limited product so if u really want to get your hands on it or love Japanese Cheesecake, go try it soon before they stop making them. Hope I don't get addicted to it or I will be in trouble hahaha
