| - Classic drive in movie theater!
Went for the first time 2 summers ago and was pleasantly surprised. They have a digital projector that shows up great with a crisp clear picture and tuning your car radio to their frequency gives you a nice sound in your car. They have two screens facing each other on opposite ends of the gravel lot with the food service area in the middle.
What I really like about this venue is that they show a lot of double features. We went to see a double feature for Ghostbusters followed up by The Karate Kid (the original 1984 "classic" not that other crap) and I was awesome.
Last summer we went again for a Jimmy Buffett live stream concert and then once more for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Guardians of the Galaxy double feature. Each time it was a great movie going experience.
The food is surprisingly good, and the service area is really clean considering the amount of traffic that comes through before the movie starts. The staff is very courteous, friendly and talkative. They offer you standard movie snacks, popcorn, candy, etc. But they also offer cotton candy, pizza by the slice, full pizzas, fried calamari, chicken fingers, burgers, etc. It seemed only fitting during the TMNT movie to order a full pizza. It didn't take long and it was better than most chain stores!
I literally have no complaints, except that the drive in is placed curiously next to some train tracks and a train will drive by every 45 minutes or so. Not so bad if you are going to see one movie, but if you are going to see a double feature... expect to hear it at least 3-4 times.
